The artworks of Kazuki Takamatsu (first featured back in Hi-Fructose Vol. 16) marry digital imaging and traditional painting techniques. The artist creates ghostly monochromatic figures that appear to glow like holograms. This year, Takamatsu has created new works that explore the tension between innocence and danger. The new paintings feature children playing with weapons and wading in deep waters in a way that seems both menacing and naive. Take a look at some of Takamatsu’s most recent works here: http://hifructose.com/2013/01/02/kazuki-takamatsus-latest-holographic-specters/
